Orangetheory Fitness takes working out to the next level. You'll wear a heart rate monitor to keep track of your vitals during the five-zone interval training sessions. The exercise strategy is divided into three components that each offer 12 stations with 12 workout machines. The workouts are built on endurance, power and strength.
Our coaches are skilled, energetic and friendly, and they'll be focused on helping you achieve your fitness goals. The 60-minute workouts change daily, and your trainers will encourage and push you to enter the "Orange Zone" for burning calories and achieving a peak performance during this personal group setting.
All fitness levels are welcome at our Orangetheory gym, so you can be a super athlete, someone looking to shape up or a novice. It doesn't matter because we'll travel with you on your fitness journey and inspire you to go for the burn at your own pace. Coach Dillan received his Weight Training and Personal Trainer Certification from CFES (Canadian Fitness Education Services). Months after his final exam his Orangetheory Fitness journey began. And it all started out with failure. After auditioning for a position at the Vancouver Convention Centre location, and making it through three days of training, it was decided he wasn't quite ready. Devastating.
He knew where he wanted to be, what it was going to take to get there, and had found the motivation to take his coaching skills to the next level. He knew one day, OTF would be his home. Dillan took his nose to the grindstone and continued to train people one on one, honing his craft. Then when the Davie Street location was announced he jumped at the chance. Failure has now turned to success as he is one of the most in demand Coaches at both the Davie Street and Convention Centre studios.

With over 10 years experience in the fitness industry, Coach Rick’s impressive background includes Personal Training & Group Fitness certifications, as well as specializations in TRX Suspension Straps, endurance training and recovery/mobility. As an Orangetheory Fitness Coach you can expect he will pay close attention to detailyou’re your technique, while keeping you motivated to find the right level of challenge for each individual Member. It’s common to hear him ask the entire room to re-focus on posture, core engagement, and “nice strong breathing!”.
Coach Rick was initially drawn to OTF by the Water Rowers and low impact Treadmills, but quickly fell in love with the world-class programming and the workout as whole. A firm believer in cross training, the workouts just made sense to him. As a Coach Rick adds OTF workouts to his IRONMAN training schedule to bring better balance to both his physical and mental well-being.

Backed by the science of post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), our heart-rate monitored training is designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Our clients burn an estimated 500 to 1000 calories per workout. We are 5 zone heart-rate interval training.
Working out in a group provides accountability and structure to help achieve fitness goals. You are more likely to get a great workout and better results from the well-rounded movements and pace direction you get in a group setting. The session motivates each other to pick up the pace and reach beyond plateaus. People who workout in groups stick to their goals more consistently than those that workout alone.
